Description
The Harris Hawk is fairly common in the Sonoran Desert. These raptors hunt in packs and are lead by a female alpha. The alpha gets the first dibs on any kills and is seen here pushing another hawk out on the desert floor.

Stunning and extraordinary photography, Paul! Certainly deserving of the weekly wowie, for sure. CONGRATULATIONS for that special recognition. You had to be ecstatic to witness such an awesome scene. I ‘m with William, as there is nothing like the Sonoran Desert. Thank you for sharing it with us. LF Janet💕
