Description

The barren rugged mountain in the foreground are part of the Amargosa Range and forms the eastern boundary of Death Valley. The snow-capped mountain in the west is Telescope Peak (11,000+ feet) and is in the Panamint Range. Sitting between these ranges is Death Valley at 282 feet below sea level. It is the hottest, driest and lowest point in America.
