A very aggressive bachelor crossed paths with an extremely protective band stallion and pure chaos ensued. The lead mare took the band and circled through the forest in full gallop, leaving her stallion to deal with the bachelor. Things finally settled down after 15 minutes as the bachelor retreated and the band reunited. Finalist for the Arizona Highways Wildlife photo contest, 2024. Small signature will appear bottom right.
